El Desarrollo Financiero y el Crecimiento Económico

El presente artículo ofrece una revisión de la literatura a nivel internacional sobre las vinculaciones existentes entre el desarrollo del sistema financiero y el crecimiento de la actividad económica. El rol provisto por los intermediarios financieros como el impacto que su accionar brinda a la hora de mitigar las fricciones de mercado tanto en relación al diseño de incentivos como a la reducción de restricciones de los agentes económicos, afectando las tasas de inversión y ahorro, la innovación tecnológica y, por ende, el crecimiento económico de largo plazo. Como resultado los mercados financieros ofrecen a los inversores información, que cada agente utiliza para estimar la rentabilidad de los proyectos, como factor diversificado del riesgo, reduciendo, las restricciones de liquidez. Estas contribuciones afectan positivamente al crecimiento económico
